Before Scale Model World 2012, I was discussing some forthcoming diorama ideas with Alex Glass of Uschi van der Rosten, and I was lucky enough to see some preview images of a number of these sets. Eduard
Catalogue # 7720
Available from Eduard and other good hobby retailers for Euro 7.45

This one surely is the Eduard aftermarket set with the least number of parts: ONE! For this base plate is very concise Eduard of course doesn´t provide an assembly manual with it. IF they had done so it maybe would have shown only three steps:

  • Open the resealable clear plastic bag and take the base plate out
  • Put base plate onto your table or shelf
  • Put a model (aircraft, etc., not provided with this set) on it

Finished!

1:76 European Church from Airfix

Airfix
Catalogue # A75006
Available from Airfix for £18.99

cover

Continuing the line of Airfix's new resin buildings that we are reviewing, comes this, the European Church, or as it should be called 'Destroyed European Church'. This model is cast in a single part using the same creamy white resin which has a sort of soapy feel to it, indicative of some of the Chinese mantelpiece ornaments I remember from the 1970's. This isn't a bad thing, as the resin beautifully replicates the master which was used, plus it is reasonably strong.
