1/35 WWII Italian AFV Officer
Alpine Miniatures
Catalogue # 35123
Sculpted by Teasung Harmms

Introduction
Alpine Miniatures make a wide variety of resin figures, mainly in 1/35 scale but also in the larger 1/16. Their quality is such that they are widely considered to be the benchmark in resin figures – I certainly consider them as such when it comes to WWII figures in 1/35 scale.

WWII Italian AFV Officer
Sculpted by the master himself, Taesung Harmms, this figure takes a break from the seemingly vast ranks of SS tankers, to give us something a little different: an Italian tanker – an officer – stood, hand on hip, looking forwards. The figure is from the North African campaign I believe, given the style and colour of uniform, and would look great in conversation with one of his DAK counterparts perhaps.

As is the way with Alpine, we get a choice of two heads: one in a peaked cap, the other in regular Italian cap with goggles worn on forehead.

There are six resin parts in all in this figure set, including a pistol side arm. Binoculars are worn around his neck, and despite being moulded integrally, look quite convincing. Binocular straps are moulded down his chest, and are very fine indeed.

On the box art – which serves as a handy painting guide - one hand is seen holding a cigarette; you can easily add this yourself with some tiny gauge plastic rod or wire.

Needless to say, as with every Alpine Miniatures figure I have ever handled, the quality of casting is superb, and the level of detail quite breathtaking.
So What Do We Think?
What more is there to say other than Alpine Miniatures remain the benchmark in resin figures, and this fine Italian fellow merely reinforces this fact.
Highly recommended.
