KIT NEWS FROM AFV CLUB - 1:35 Valentine Mk.IV
AFV Club have announced the next kit in their series of Valentine tanks, the Mk.IV
The Valentine IV was nearly identical to the earlier MkII, but was powered by a different engine, this time the General Motors 6-71 Diesel, also known as the GMC 6004. The 6004 also required a different gear box. Some Valentine MkIVs were also fitted with the No.19 radio set. This kit comes in Russian markings, as a large number of Valentines were shipped to Russia as part of the lend-lease programme, mainly from Canada.
The kit would also seem to come with a new sprue for the later more common road wheels; these wheels should really be used with the marking options in AFV Club's MkII. Hopefully they will be available separately - more on that as soon as we know.
