CASA C-2.111B (Heinkel He 111H-16)

 

 

 

Being politically isolated after World War II Spain continued to produce now obsolete German aircraft designs. Most famous examples are the Bf 109 and the Heinkel He 111.

 

Manufactured by Construcciones Aeronàuticas S.A. one of the 200 Heinkel He 111s built in Spain as CASA 2.111 has found its way to Germany and has been restored at the Flugwerft Oberschleißheim from May 2000 until June 2009. Being a regular participant at the annual model show held in the Flugwerft (aircraft maintenance facility) I had the opportunity to do some pictures of the aircraft over the years I would like to share with you here.
