If you need a workbench for your repair station in your garage diorama there are a few alternatives – the recent US repair workshop from Tamiya and a few others – PMilona from the Czech Republic have given us a quality alternative here, in the form of JB Models kit JM35027 "Workshop Equipment"
The kit is made of all resin, centred around a workbench that is the focus of the set, - this workbench has movable draws which can be taken fully out if you like. The right hand side of the workbench had a door which can be posed open or closed as well - I like this workbench as it can be posed all open – to give that "busy" look ( a bit like my room
)
On top of the bench there are some resin tools, bolt cutters, a hammer, a wrench and two screwdrivers are included, as well as a metal working vice and a metal bench grinder are included in well cast resin which easily looks like the tools they are trying to represent.
There is an excellent carriage which has two oxy-acetylene cylinders which can be placed on or off the carriage. There is actually a spare cylinder as well which has its cover still on. The cutter is included as well. The wheels on the carriage are well done but will take some cleaning up in between the spokes as they have from excess resin inside them.
There is a metal Guillotine complete with a long arm for the handle, it is on four long legs which are supplied with a table top. The last part of the workshop is a pillar drill, complete with a quick release vice to sit on it. The pillar drill is supplied on a resin heavy duty tall square table.
So what do we think?
A great little set that could do with some brass to be used as plates on the Oxy bottles and some brass wheels for the trolley – but apart from that as a small gripe – this is a quality set which will look good sitting next to your favourite vehicle that is to be repaired.
