True Details, a Squadron Products brand, have released this set of drop tanks specifically for the launch of the A-37 Dragonfly kit, from their own ‘Encore Models’ stable.
Packaged in a blister pack, and backed with foam so to protect the parts, four 100 Gallon drop tanks, plus fins, make up this new set. The drop tanks themselves are single pieces, with some very nice raised and recessed detail. Each tank has a casting block along the length of the tank, with a thin connection in order to make removal and clean-up easy. Each tank is moulded with a vertical fin, and has a correct circular cross section. The horizontal fins, two per tank, are cast separately.
All parts are cast in medium grey resin and are flaw free. No instructions are included as you really don’t need them! Just replace the kit parts with these, and you are flying, although not literally.
So what do we think?
What better a time to release a set of A-37 drop tanks, than immediately after the release of the A-37 kit from Encore! I can understand NOT having these in the Encore kit, so as to keep costs down, and giving you the option of purchasing these if you so wish. A simple but excellent product.
