1/72 Remove Before Flight tags, Israel.
Catalogue # 73380
Available from Eduard & other good hobby retailers for around $12.95
If you are a modeller of Israeli Air Force aircraft, then this set has surely got to be of interest. This set comes packaged in Eduards regular bottom sealing envelope with a cardboard stiffener. A single etch fret contains 59 photo etch parts, printed in double sided colour.
Out of this, there are 42 long red tags for interior locations, printed on both sides with Hebrew text. Fourteen interior tags printed in yellow are included, again with all script in Hebrew. The remaining three parts are listed as ‘Ejection Seats’, and take the form of rectangular parts printed in red and white. I’m unsure as to exactly how these ‘hang’ on the model, but then again, I’m no aficionado.
Printing on these parts is good and solid, with the colour bright and the script clear and obvious.
My only reservation with etch tags is how you pose them. As these would normally be made from fabric, you will need to induce a natural twist into them to make them look correct. I would also suggest you tone down the sheen with some matt varnish.
So what do we think?
This set does just what it says on the tin, and will do it well. You have more than enough tags for several models, and all for a realistic price.
Our sincere thanks to Eduard for the review sample used here. To buy this and other Eduard products, click THIS link, or the banner below.
